Creating value is about giving your audience something to use at the present moment or at a later time. Creating value can be done in video, word, or audio form. Content marketers do this every day. Here are 5 ways you can create value for your audience:

Listicles

Like this list, write out 3 (5, 7, 9, 11 etc.) ways to do something. (Odd numbers are better for user clicks.) Your audience want a step by step guide on how to do something, or list of the best of something. Write out 5 ways to do something because you’re the one with something good to say.

Links to other websites

Provide links to other websites to show you did the work. Further, it gives readers more tools in their research (and makes you look good in the process!)

Show your audience the best apps or websites that help with productivity or creativity. Making life easier or faster may be a goal of yours (it’s mine!) so share things that best help you. Here are a few apps I love:

  • Mint. A budget tracker and planner.
  • HabitShare. Trying to build a new habit? This app will help and hold you accountable alongside friends.
